The First of MANY

Is it really that hard to craft? Absolutely not! I decided to start with something simple just to show it really doesn't take much to start crafting.

My daughter has had so many compliments on shirts that I have bought for $6 or less and just added an iron on transfer to! I prefer Target's Cherokee brand Ultimate Tee's. They are reasonably priced, tagless, fit good, and look great on. You can use any shirt you find though.

Another thing you can do to a shirt like the one above is to sew a simple skirt to the bottom and create a dress. It really isn't hard to do, and just takes a little time. I will save that for another post though.

All this simple craft required was a shirt, hot iron, and the "Little Princess" rhinestone iron on transfer! My daughter loves this shirt and it didn't take any time to do. You can get iron on transfers at Hobby Lobby, Joann, Michael's, and even Walmart!

The iron on transfers are very easy to use and have specific instructions on the package. If you watch you can normally use a coupon at Joann or Hobby Lobby to get one half off! Just remember to take your time and do EXACTLY what the instructions say! I even ironed a little rhinestone star to my daughter's soccer uniform a year ago. They were the "Shooting Stars" and it was just perfect on her little uniform!

Here is a simple letter "W" I ironed onto a bag I made for my sister-in-law for her birthday!

Here are a few examples of some iron on transers I have come across that are super cute. You can create whatever you want for special occasions or just life in general.

So, get with it! Iron something on a bag, shirt, pants, hat, WHATEVER! This can be your first craft and you will be so proud of the results...as simple as it may be! Make something for your child, a friend, give as a gift, or keep for yourself! You will enjoy it! I promise.
